In 1962, for my high school graduation in Southern Ohio, my Uncle took me on a trip to the Seattle World’s Fair, camping all the way out of a Volkswagon Beetle. Coincidentally, my Father gave me an Argus 35 mm camera to record the trip. This trip not only started a 33 year love affair with the Northwest, but also began my interest in photography.

By 1968 I had my first 4x5 camera and carried it the following year, to the top of the Grand Teton for summit photos. In 1972, after a 3 year Air Force tour in Alaska, I moved to Leavenworth, Washington where I remain today. During these years I have used 8x10, 4x5, 6x7cm, and 35mm cameras. Photography has never ceased to be exciting for me. I hope that you will find that excitement in my images.
